El Dr. Fernando Noriega, director del Instituto, está especializado en el tratamiento de traumatismos y en la reconstrucción de las deformidades y secuelas post-traumáticas, que afectan al pie y tobillo.

El Dr. Fernando Noriega estudió su carrera de medicina en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y en el Hospital Gregorio Marañon. Posteriormente realizó su residencia en Cirugía Ortopédica y Traumatología con el prestigioso cirujano ortopédico español Dr. J.A. Fernandez Valderrama, habiendo realizado numerosos viajes de formación en centros tan prestigiosos como el Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre de Oxford.

Ha continuado su formación mediante estancias en hospitales de Estados Unidos como el Harborview Medical Center en Seattle o en la Balgrist Klinic en Zürich, Suiza, y otras ciudades con centros pioneros en el tratamiento de diversos problemas que afectan al tobillo o al pie. Así mismo ha participado en varios cursos avanzados de formación en el campo de la patología de pie y tobillo.

El Dr. Fernando Noriega es un especialista reconocido nacionalmente e internacionalmente por su trabajo en el campo de la cirugía reconstructiva del pie y del tobillo. Es miembro internacional de la American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society, de la Sociedad Española de Cirugia Ortopédica y Traumatología (SECOT), miembro de la AO-ASIF Alumni Association etc., además de autor de artículos y comunicaciones en el campo de la cirugía reconstructiva del pie y tobillo, habiendo participado en numerosos cursos o dictando conferencias.

Fernando Noriega MD, is the director of the Institute, is specialized in the treatment of trauma and the reconstruction of the post-traumatic sequels that affect the foot and ankle. Dr. Noriega studied medicine at the Complutense University of Madrid and the Gregorio Marañon General Hospital. Later he made his residency in Orthopedic Surgery with the prestigious Spanish orthopedic surgeon Dr J.A. Fernandez Valderrama, having made numerous trips of formation in prestigious centers as the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre of Oxford. He continued his formation by means of stay in hospitals of the United States, as the Harborview Medical Center in Seattle or the Balgrist Klinic in Zürich, Switzerland, and others cities with pioneering centers in the processing of diverse foot and ankle problems. Also he had participated in several advanced foot and ankle courses. Dr Noriega is a specialist recognized nationally and internationally by his work in the field of reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle. He is an international member of the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society (AOFAS), the Spanish Society of the Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology (SECOT), member of the AO-ASIF Alumni Association . He is author of articles and communications in the field of orthopedic surgery of the foot and ankle, having participated in numerous courses or dictating conferences.
